Greensboro’s original farmers market, “The Curb Market” has been in operation since 1874! The “Curb Market” is operated by the Greensboro Farmers Market, Inc. (GFM) a 501(c)(3) community nonprofit on behalf of the City of Greensboro. Smith Farms has been a vendor at this market for 5 generations and continues to support its authenticity and commitment to community! The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market is a producer-only farmers market with all products originating 100 miles or less from Greensboro and all items sold are either 1) homegrown, 2) home-baked or 3) home-made – a very special market, indeed! On Wednesday, the Smith Farms’ table is closest to the door entering in from the walkway bridge. On Saturday, the Smith Farms’ table is closest to the corner door by the market lawn and music stage.

The Elon Farmers Market began in 2008 as an outreach mission of the Elon Community Church. Currently, the Authentically Alamance Farmers Market Network (AAFMN) manages the Elon market along with other markets in Alamance county. The mission of the Farmers Market is to encourage the community to gather around local fresh food, to support community farmers, bakers, crafters and the local economy and to become better stewards of the earth. All vendors are locally sourced, with all products being grown, baked, cultivated and crafted within the surrounding community!
